- Does Porterhouse have a free trial?
- YES! New users have a 7-day free trial of our Plus plan, which includes all Porterhouse features, and no upfront credit card required. Get started now
- Do I have to install anything to use Porterhouse?
- Yes. Porterhouse is a Mac and Windows app that you'll need to install on your computer. (iPads don't count 😄)
- Can I send 1000s of texts a day?

No. Porterhouse is meant as a personal mass texting app and is not intended to send texts at a massive scale.
While Porterhouse does not set a limit on how many texts you can send, to prevent your number being flagged as spam, we generally do not recommend sending more than 200 texts within a 24hr period.
- Are there any other costs apart from the monthly fee?
- Nope, that is it, just the flat fee! (the only other potential cost is SMS fees from your cellphone company, but nowadays almost everybody has an unlimited texting plan)
- Will you share or sell my data, especially the phone numbers I send to?

Absolutely never. We work hard to earn your trust and believe that's what's best for business in the long run.
We also do not read your Contacts apart from those that you've chose to send to, and all application data is encrypted and secure.
- Can Porterhouse send to non-iOS or Android numbers as well?
- Yes! non-iOS recipients will receive the texts as regular green SMS.
- I didn’t receive my verification email.
- First, check both your Spam and Promotions folders. If you still don’t see it, please email support@porterhouse.app and we’ll quickly help you with verification so you can login.
- Can I pause my subscription and re-subscribe when I need it again?

Absolutely! When you cancel your subscription you’ll still have access to your account and sending history. Simply resubscribe when you need to continue sending.
We also have non-recurring one-week plans which are a good fit if you only need to send mass texts a few times a year.
- I didn’t get to try what I needed and need to extend my trial.
- Please email us at support@porterhouse.app, briefly describe your situation, and in most cases we can extend your free trial. We want everyone to have a good chance to evaluate Porterhouse against their needs!
- I need additional custom CSV fields to insert into my message (for example, Address)
- Additional custom fields is a feature we’re planning to add soon. In the meantime, since most people don’t use “Last Name” in their messages, you can get around it by having a “Last Name” column in your CSV file, filling it with the custom data you need, and then put {lastName} in your message where you want that custom field to be.
- Can I send SMS to everyone instead of iMessages, or can I only send iMessages to iOS recipients and skip everyone else?
- Yes. If this is a requirement, please email support@porterhouse.app and we can toggle your sending mode to all SMS or all iMessage.
